Alton has always been known as a traditional Hampshire Market town, with markets established before Saxon times and after the Conquest, its regular market held in “Westbrook” was the most valuable market recorded in The Doomsday Book.
Alton Lions Club (CIO) are helping to keep that tradition alive by organising the Alton Craft Market (www.altoncraftmarket.co.uk), with all pitch fees donated to local charities.
Alton Craft Market is held on the second Saturday of each month (March to December) from 10am till 3pm and is situated in the High Street (alongside the Hampshire Farmers Market) and Cross & Pillory Lane. It has become a well-established ‘makers market’ and has an excellent reputation for a wide range of unique, high-quality products made by artisans, crafters and makers.
If you are interested in selling your handcrafted items at the Alton Craft Market, you can download a booking form (including terms and conditions), or email firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Please note: As a consequence of the Covid-19 restrictions the Alton Craft Markets for 2022 maybe subject change based on the latest Government legislation, regulations and guidance. Importantly whilst it is planned to hold markets there can be no guarantee that each market will go ahead.
