Australian Bushfire and Humanitarian Appeal

Months of severe drought and record-breaking temperatures have fuelled a series of catastrophic bushfires across Australia. Twenty-six people have lost their lives, millions of animals have perished, hundreds of homes have burnt out and a large number have been severely fire damaged. Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) has granted in excess of A$160,000 towards bushfire relief. In the UK Lions has initiated an appeal for donations to support the Lions Clubs of Australia to purchase water tanks (Each water tank costs £1,600) and the provision of other humanitarian needs. This will allow people to return to their homes and achieve some degree of normality.
