15th Alton Lions Easter Eggstravaganza Achieves £1046 for Bushy Leaze Childrens & Families Centre

The fifteenth Alton Lions Club ‘Eggstravaganza’ led by Lion John Smith achieved a magnificent £1046 donation to Bushy Leaze Children’s and Families Centre in Eastbrooke Road Alton. Large Chocolate Easter Eggs are placed in participating outlets by Alton Lions throughout the town and surrounding areas.

This year 25 Eggs were placed with Three Horseshoes, Eight Bells, The Angel, Alton College, Amery Vets, Alton Bowls Club, Castle of Comfort, The Crown, Four Marks Golf Club (2), French Horn, The George, Golden Pheasant, Herald Office, Kings Head, Market Hotel, Nosh Restaurant, Railway Arms, Royal Oak, Regency Café, Rose and Crown, Wheatsheaf, White Hart, White Horse and Worldham Golf Club. A special thank you goes to all these establishments.

Bushy Leaze will be using the donation to further develop the facility for special needs pre-nursery children, toddlers and their parents. In addition, it will also help with professional guidance, mentors and early intervention groups. Bushy Leaze supports over 600 families in Alton and the surrounding villages and also provides health visitor clinics, first time parent networking for families in need in the East Hampshire District. Head Teacher, Patti Snook, thanked Alton Lions for their continued support and explained that there are plans for the development of a small sensory indoor and outdoor space for vulnerable 2-year olds.
