Frances Parris

Having worked in big corporate organisations for most of my career, I now own my own business making items from fused glass.  I live in small village in Hampshire and the community around me has always been important.  I have been involved in a variety of voluntary organisations including The Samaritans, Dr Barnardo’s, School Governor, AGE UK and more recently The Alton Community Cupboard, Citizens Advice and the Alton Lions.

The Alton Lions is very important to me and the main reason I am involved is to give something back to an organisation that impacts on people’s lives.  The Lions make a difference to the lives of others as well as help the environment.  I certainly feel valued and we all work as part of team.  It is a great organisation with amazing people that care about their local community.
