50 for 50

2023 is a big year for Alton Lions Club as we celebrate 50 years of service, offering help and support to those in need, both in the local and wider community and around the world.

This summer we are inviting local folk to join us in a ’50 for 50 Challenge’ – an opportunity to challenge yourself to complete one or more activities 50 times, and to raise sponsorship whilst doing so.

“To make the most of this challenge we have selected a charity to touch the hearts of all those who live, work, and play within Alton and the surrounding area – and that charity is ‘Jacksplace’ which ‘is the only hospice for young adults in our region, offering the care and support they need, but also giving them the independence, they often crave.

The challenge is simple; Pick something that you can do to get sponsored for and do it 50 times! Encourage your friends, family, or work colleagues to sponsor you and collect the sponsorship money and pay it direct to our account.

The 50 for 50 Challenge will run from May 2023 until October 31st, 2023.

What could you do? That’s entirely up to you, what do you find a challenge? What do you enjoy? Maybe you’d pick something that you really dislike as a challenge. All that we ask is that you keep safe and don’t do anything that could result in you getting hurt.

  1. Decide what you want to do.
  2. Email details of what you are doing and who you are to alton@lions105sc.org.uk with “50 for 50” in the subject line.
